Position
Sensor Explained...

Implementation of state of
the art automated laboratory research and computer controlled instrumentation
technology has been restricted by conventional valve technology. This gap
has occurred due to the inability of valves to transmit a signal to confirm
the valves' exact mechanical state.
NResearch, the innovator in state of the art valve design and manufacturing
techniques, has successfully bridged this gap by developing a patented Position
Sensor to provide independent electrical verification of the valves' mechanical
condition.
Position Sensor contact springs maintain continuous electrical contact with
the armature which is electrically insulated from the solenoid housing in the
de-energized position. Confirmed contact between the armature and solenoid
housing completes an electrical circuit in the energized position.
This series of steps results in a precise electrical indication of the mechanical
state of the valve without any degradation due to hysteresis or mechanical
losses.
